Freedom Transit’s “Shopper Hopper” route passes through the W&J Campus along East Wheeling Street 9 times each weekday and 4 times on Saturday on its way to the following shopping centers: Trinity Point (WalMart, Sams Club, Starbucks, Panera, Aldi); Northgate Plaza (Gabriel Brothers, Med Express, Save-A-Lot); The Old Mill (Field and Stream, Hobby Lobby, multiple restaurants); Strabane Square (Kohls, Target, Pier One, Dicks, Giant Eagle); Washington Mall (Staples, Toys R Us); Oak Springs Plaza (Big Lots, PennDOT Drivers Licensing Center).
Freedom Transit’s “Mall/Park Hopper” bus provides service 6 times each weekday and 4 times on Saturday to Washington Crown Center Mall (Macys, Marshalls, Ross, Bon Ton, Gander Mountain, Sears, Regal Movie Theaters) and to the Washington Park.
Our “Metro Commuter” bus travels to and from Downtown Pittsburgh 20 times each weekday. From Downtown Pittsburgh you can make bus connections with Megabus and Greyhound, and with Amtrak train service, as well as the Port Authority’s 28X Airport Flyer bus to Pittsburgh International Airport (www.portauthority.org). You can also connect at the East Busway stop with other regional public transit buses heading to places like Beaver, Butler, New Castle, or Westmoreland County. If you want to explore the City of Pittsburgh, connect in Downtown Pittsburgh with Port Authority buses to Oakland (Pitt, CMU, Carlow), or take the Port Authority’s “T” light rail service to Station Square or to the North Shore.
Saturday “Metro Commuter” service offers 6 trips to and from South Hills Village shopping center and the South Hills “T” Transit Center, where you can connect with light rail service to and from Downtown Pittsburgh.
